The vineyard Clüsserath Eifel is in Trittenheim in the Mosel valley. Here the Riesling grape finds its optimal growth conditions, with slate ground and steep hills.
1760 the ancestors of the today's landowner Gerhard Eifel began with wine cultivation, in the most famous steep hills: Apotheke & Altärchen.
By the 3.8 hectars 3.2 are cultivated in steep and very steep hills. Excluding manual work is here at the agenda.
The vines are cultivated on a yield elbow and/or with tap cut. The selective hand vintage is the point over the "i" and the basic condition for the later high wine quality.
Today the fermentation and storage is in high-grade steel tanks of 280-3000L. All juice is stored and filled up in individual bundles.
