In the middle of the 90:s the family Eifel decided to market their wines under the label Gallerie Riesling. It is a small family business compared with the normal size in Mosel valley. The vineyard has approximately 40,000 plants with an average age of 55 years.
The philosophy of the small vineyards, only limited quantities will develop guaranteed by the direct supervision of the family in each stage of production. The beauty of the vineyards and the Mosel valley and the combination of the traditional cultivation in steep situations with modern technology, makes the visit most experiencing for the visitor, who becomes acquainted with how to judge the grapes.
In accordance with the philosophy of Gerhard Eifel, the customer always stands in the first place. For this reason production covers only limited quantities, to certify a high quality of the wine.
The result is several types of wine, which a lover of a good kitchen appreciates; because a well prepared meal lifts particularly the quality of the wine.
